Condemnation.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus… Roman’s 8:1

One of the things that I find in ministry that seems to be epidemic is a spirit of condemnation and false humility. It stems from religion and a ‘Works Theology’.

So many people these days think that if they fast hard enough, or pray hard enough, or sing songs perfect enough, or do things correctly, or even give money to the church that this will ensure their salvation and their right standing with God.

This could not be farther from the truth. God is a God of great Grace and great mercy and He’s interested in relationship not religion. If you find yourself guilty and full of shame because you forgot to pray yesterday, that is not the voice of the lord.

Father God is love and kindness and mercy. He desires for his children to cuddle up to him and share their hearts not to be rigid like a schoolmaster with a ruler in his hand lording it over us if we don’t get it right.

Jesus loves you and just wants to be with you as his beloved child. Don’t let condemnation keep you from receiving the love of God.God is a God of great grace and love and kindness and mercy.
