For many of us, it is hard to imagine what it would be like to have to run from abusive relationships. Others out there know first hand what it is like to live under abusive relationships. Sometimes the abuser may be a parent, a child, a spouse, someone you are dating, or a trafficker. Regardless of who is doing the abusing, it is usually difficult for the abused to flee due to financial issues. This is especially true in cases where running from an abuser can require legal services.
To help support people running from abusive relationships, we have established the ‘Run and Rescue’, or R&R Fund. This fund provides resources and assistance to individuals who find themselves in abusive relationships who simply need to run.
The fund initially started with gifts from within the community, however those initial funds have been quickly used. Your tax-deductible support will help provide the resources needed to help the victims of abuse flee and start new lives.
